What is your favorite type of weather?
Winter with clear skies. Absolutely without a doubt.
When I was a kid, I loved summers. I think it was probably because, during school days, I used to get summer vacations worth one and a half months. So that played a role in summers being my favorite season. But since the pandemic, I have come to love and appreciate winters.
I spend more time outside in nature with the sun above me. It’s not possible in another season. I live in the heart of India with median temperatures hovering over 25 degrees Celsius for the most part of the year. You don’t really want to spend time below the sun in these temps. But during winter, the temps in Bhopal go as low as 5 degrees Celsius. It’s not as low as compared to some northern regions but still cold enough to give shivers at any time of the day.
But winters suck when it gets gray and starts pouring without any reason. I do not love gray skies. They suck the energy out of the body and everything seems gloomy and slow and depressing. I guess every season has its fair share of good and bad but winter is the season that balances the weight.

But spring and summer – especially summer – I come back to life 😘❤️

I think its probably because how different our winters are. There it probably snows and rains a lot but here its usually just chilly with clear skies and sun. It rains on some days but its rare. I wish you good spring and summers 😇 😇

Ah yes … my winters are all rainy and snowy!! Yes!! Gray skies all the time and freezing 🥶 😩😝 is awful
My spring and summers are bright and cheery and warm – we get no rain at all … sunny ☀️ always every day – is only winter we have rain things (usually – let me say that because we are in the 2020’s so who knows?? But usually no rain at all during summer)
Not that I don’t love a good summer rain – I love summer rain very much ❤️ is warm and wet
I do not like winter rain – cold and wet 😝 ugh … right through the bones!!

I used to be similar to you, objective and would judge winter for the quality of the light. Since I was ill, however, I generally feel cold all the time, so crave the warmer weather. 25 sounds about perfect for me!

I don’t know if it is just me or not, but whenever I have seen images of winter from European nations, it always seems gloomy. I think most of these countries live in minimal to no sunlight at all.

We were lucky this Winter in southern New York; we only had to take our shovels out once and by the next day there was no trace of snow left. That is unheard of! I am definitely not a Winter person. I do less than I normally do and sometimes just can’t warm up. Summer was always my season; soaking up the sun and swimming all day was my idea of perfection and I couldn’t wait for Summer vacation. Now I find as I get older the heat doesn’t always agree with me.
Thank goodness for Spring and Autumn! I’d be perpetually out of sorts all year long without them!

Weather in your part of the world has always amazed me. Because in some places there is a drought but in some places there are floods and snow. I read news in February that all of this was happening at a same time. Its so crazy there is this sort of discrepancy in weather in adjacent states at any given moment!!

Crazy and a bit scary, too. Don’t get me wrong; I love a Winter without snow but what is happening to the climate globally is rather disconcerting.

I don’t really have a favorite season. I have favorite things about each season. The autumn colors are lovely as the leaves turn to orange, red, yellow, etc. Winter can be very beautiful, especially when the snow is fresh and glistening. Spring is, of course, pretty as the trees start to bud out and the tulips pop up from the frozen ground. And summer is a time for vacations and sunshine. Of course, each season has its negative elements too. But I didn’t feel like focusing on them right now!

I think there are vacations in winter as well in nations where there is extreme cold.
